Especially the final paragraph, I agree. Extreme pessimism creates optimism or comes from it, and vice versa. Someone partially optimistic and pessimistic is neither one nor the other, therefore... pessimism and optimism are impossibilities in people, everyone must be considered both at once or neither at all, I think.
